The Redlands Airport Association is once again hosting "Stuff a Plane with Toys for Tots" on the west ramp of Redlands Municipal Airport on November 16, 2019 from 10 am to 3 pm. This is our 5th annual Toys for Tots toy drive.

We are inviting all local pilots to our event this year for an old-fashioned fly-in. It would be a great opportunity for owners to show their aircraft, network with other pilots, and share their aviation story with guests. We would like to make you aware of our event so you can share information with your fellow pilots and friends for a fun-filled day. We even have a free continental breakfast between 8 am and 10 am for those that display their aircraft along with a chance for an aircraft exhibitor award. In addition to collecting toys for the US Marine Reserves Toys for Tots program we are having a fly-in to expose the community to the world of aviation and our great little airport. As pilots, we are aware of the need to grow the pilot population. There are also unprecedented job opportunities that currently exist in aviation. Our “Stuff a plane with Toys for Tots” event is an opportunity to spark aviation interests in some of our guests by attending a fun event at our airport for a great cause. Our event will feature displays of military aircraft, general aviation aircraft, warbirds and helicopters. We have confirmation on aircraft displays from Cal Fire, San Bernardino Sheriff's Aero Squadron, Yanks Museum, and Palm Springs Air Museum. We are working on aircraft displays from the USMC and the California Army National Guard. There will be some flight schools present along with some displays by some of our public service agencies. We will also be holding a couple of learn to fly seminars and an airport open house for interested guests. And finally, there will be music, food, a small kid’s zone, community blood drive, a pet adoption center, and of course Santa! Admission is free, but guests are requested to bring a new, unwrapped toy or donate to Toys for Tots. The RAA is an airport advocacy group. We are a volunteer group of pilots and supporters that actively work to keep Redlands Municipal Airport around a long time. We are also a chapter of the California Pilots Association.
