We are asking all GPA pilots, and any pilots, aircraft owners or fans of aviation to attend the Gillespie Field Development Council meeting 6pm this Wednesday Sept 18 at the El Cajon City Council Chambers located at 200 Civic Center Way, El Cajon.

The importance of this meeting cannot be overstated because of the impact of current negotiations between the County and the leaseholders at KSEE. As the rates for ramp space increase, the cost of doing business at our airport also rises. Increased ramp space costs are passed to you the owners and pilots of KSEE-based aircraft. Item #8 on the agenda is “Real Property Update” – and it is important that the county officials see that we are vitally concerned with a fair and equitable assessment of our airport and in order to do that we must show our support.

Please make plans to attend. A “standing room only” crowd shows that you not only care, but are willing to show your support by coming to the meeting. We have discussed this issue at the GPA meetings many times and this is how you can do your part to support the lease holders and all pilots at Gillespie to keep flying affordable at our airport.
