At our June BBQ, Commemorative Air Force history curator, and now AG1 member, Keegan Chetwynd will present a look back at an historical day in June 1944… the D-Day invasion.  The C-47 aircraft that led the D-Day invasion is now a restored and flying aircraft that belongs to the Commemorative Air Force. Hear the exciting story of how the aircraft was found and the effort to restore that historical airplane.

42-92847 led Mission Albany a formation of 432 aircraft that, just after midnight on D-Day, dropped more than 6,600 paratroopers behind enemy lines on the Cotentin Peninsula of Normandy. Named "That's All, Brother", this airplane led the first major blow in the Allied liberation of Europe.
