Sky Combat Ace (SCA), the action-packed, high-flying thrill ride that allows guests to take the controls and fly high performance stunt planes, premieres its 2nd location in sunny San Diego with a one-of-a-kind hangar party including food, fun, festivities, a silent auction with prize packages from several action-packed attractions to benefit the Tony Hawk Foundation, and a special appearance by skateboard legend and philanthropist, Tony Hawk.
To celebrate the extreme aviation attraction’s launch in San Diego, the fun-filled day of surprises will kick off with Tony Hawk making an airplane entrance that only Sky Combat Ace can provide. In true fighter pilot form, SCA pilots decked out in their flight suits will welcome guests into the state-of-the-art hangar complete with static airplane displays where guests can enjoy the Top Gun-esque lively atmosphere around unique aircraft that include SCA’s Extra 330LC aircraft, an F-16 and Mig 17, a T-6 Texan, T-34 Mentor, L-29 Daulphin Jet and T-28, just to name a few.
World-renowned former pro skateboarder and the most recognized Action Sports figure in the world, Tony Hawk, willbe on hand mingling with Press and VIP attendees who pre-purchase their tickets via Eventbrite. Hangar partygoers will enjoy a Stone Brewery-sponsored bar and local food trucks will be on-hand to serve an array of San Diego’s finest food truck fare.
Silent auction sponsors, vendors and highlights include flights in our Shweizer 333 turbine helicopter, which will offer $50 helicopter rides, JetPack America, Sky Dive San Diego, Stone Brewery, GoPro, and Sky Combat Ace.
